RAY FOURNIE, Director of The Courthouse Steps
Ray is a senior partner in the law firm of Armstrong Teasdale, and specializes in litigation. In addition to practicing law, Ray serves on the Board and is General Counsel to the Muny Opera, the largest outdoor theater in the U.S. Ray has been a member of Actor's Equity since 1973. Ray and Tom Schlafly (one of our lyricists), of Husch Blackwell Sanders, founded The Courthouse Steps, Inc. in 1997.

DIANE HANISCH, Musical Director of The Courthouse Steps
Diane is an accomplished pianist, and our only true professional musician, yet she still agrees to be associated with this group. She must be crazy because the money is simply not that good.

JULIE FIX MEYER, General Manager of The Courthouse Steps (a/k/a prop mistress, den mother, social director and general dogsbody)
Our newlywed! Julie is a Senior Law Clerk to the Hon. William D. Stiehl, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois. She started her one-year clerkship more than 20 years ago and they can't seem to get rid of her.

STEPHEN F. MEYERKORD
Steve is the founding partner of Meyerkord, Rineberg and Graham, and specializes in personal injury litigation. Steve thinks he is the best singer in the Courthouse Steps and, it goes without saying, the best looking. You be the judge.

BOB WILL, Webmaster
Bob is a partner in the law firm of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, L.C., also specializing in litigation (beginning to see a pattern here?) When not laughing off baseless ridicule from the self proclaimed "best singer" in the group (who is just jealous), Bob basks in the warm admiration of the Courthouse Steps ladies because he remembers all his lines (most of the time).

LESLIE BROWN SMITH
Leslie is a retired Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation, and is now at Simon & Associates, P.C., where she specializes in the field of workers' compensation.  Her relentlessly positive attitude inspires the group to persevere through its many foibles, quirks and occasional boo-boos.

LEE ANNA GOOD
Lee Anna is currently "on loan" to the State of Texas, where she is the Development Director for the Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center in her home town of Odessa. (Go Panthers!)  Nonetheless, her dedication to the group is so total (go figure!), she still makes the trek to St. Louis and beyond to appear with the Steps.  Lee Anna says, with all due respect to Steve, that clearly she is the best thing that has ever happened to the Courthouse Steps.

PETER J. DUNNE
Peter is a Leo who enjoys long walks, sunsets and drinking lots of beer. In his spare time as a partner at Rabbitt, Pitzer & Snodgrass, he flatters himself in his delusion that he is the best trial lawyer in the group, besides being the smartest, best looking and the most clever.

ANNE GERAGHTY-RATHERT
Anne is an Associate Professor in Legal Studies at Webster University in St. Louis, and is of counsel at the Rathert Law Firm. She is not in Actor's Equity, she is not a musician of any kind, but the Courthouse Steps keep her around because she never forgets her words and is always willing to run out and pick up Chinese food for rehearsals.

BOB RALEIGH
Bob will proclaim, to anyone who will listen, that he is the "censor" of the Courthouse Steps. This simply means that there is no tasteless joke or bad pun he won't try to work into a number. Bob is of counsel with Armstrong Teasdale specializing in litigation.  (Ro-bear will be coming off the DL soon, and we're all glad for that!)

ROBIN JEFFERSON HIGGINS
Choreographer for The Courthouse Steps. (A daunting task considering the material she has to work with). Robin is an
Assistant Professor in Legal Studies and Director of the Legal Studies Program at Webster University. She says that although she might not be the best singer, she KNOWS she's the best dancer. (And she'll get no arguments from the rest of us!)

TOM SCHLAFLY-Lyricist and co-founder of The Courthouse Steps
Tom purports to be a partner at Thompson Coburn LLP. He's also the co-founder and president of The Saint Louis Brewery, Inc., the largest American-owned brewery in St. Louis. He is immensely gratified that he finally found a career in the field he pursued most assiduously in college and in law school, i.e.beer. He is a man with many opinions that are aired on KWMU-FM and inflicted on unwitting patrons at The Tap Room and Schlafly Bottleworks. To the great relief of all concerned, Tom does not sing these views.

BARB BLOOD-Technical Director of The Courthouse Steps

Barb is a bit shy about her role, but she is an indispensable member of the group, setting up and running our sound for each and every show.  We wouldn't think of performing without her, because no matter where we are, she somehow finds a way to make every one of us sound really, really good all of the time!  (Which is harder than you may think!)
